The Best Day Ever Brunch

I recently attended this amazing Brunch called “The Best Day Ever”. I had an amazing time. The menu was short and sweet featuring the classic southern favorite Fish and Grits and of course bottomless mimosas :).  So I took this opportunity to debut my t shirt line! So this Cute Tee is available on me website WWW.LOVESLOSTPHOENIX.COM and you can find it here.
This skirt was purchased TWO YEARS AGO from forever21 so of course it isn’t available but I found a similar one here. I can’t stress the importance of buying timeless pieces over trendy pieces enough. I paired my white tee and white skirt with some classic white Filas. I’m sure they can be found at any store but for my lazy shoppers you can grab a pair here.

The Brunch was thrown by my good friend Melvin (pictured top). Melvin is a creative. He has a Podcast called The Roguish Gent and you can find it here. He is also a photographer/videographer for 242 Creative and you can check them out here. The Brunch was hosted in a spot called OFF BEAT JXN. Off beat is an alternative culture store that sells comic books, records, art, vintage tee’s and really dope collectible toys. Off beat is owned by DJ Young Venom (pictured to bottom). To learn more about off beat or shop the store you can check out the website here. DJ Young Venom is what I call a Jackson Enthusiast and has a line of T shirt’s repping our city to the fullest. Oh he’s also a DJ (obvi).

This brunch was much more intimate than some of the others Ive been to and I really enjoyed that. I not only got a chance to network but I really got a chance to get to know people, oh and sale my t shirts. Here I am pictured with Andrea. Andrea was one of the sponsors for the brunch. Andrea also know as Smart Chick is a Graphic designer by day (and night) AND she runs a page called The Plug JXN which highlights all the amazing things going on in our city. You can follow the page here. I promise you can NEVER say its nothing to do in Jackson because the PLUG has all the info.
My bestie Toni came to support and my sister is always there to lend a helping hand. I hope to see more familiar faces and meet many more new people at the next Best Day ever.

Festival Season Part 1

Hey Guys! Its spring and we all know spring is Festival Season. The best thing you could do when going to a festival is be comfortable especially when you are curvy. I wore this sexy boho look to The French Quarter Festival in New Orleans.

Lets get into this look. I love the monochromatic trend. Its flattering to different body types and its so appealing to the eye. So this week I went with this mustard color from head to toe. This fabulous kimono was purchased from Its Fashion Metro but I saw the exact same one at Rue 21 and you can find it here.
This super cute longline big boob friendly bralette is also from Rue 21 and you can find it here. My cute mustard pants are from city trends and y’all know they don’t have a website yet but these paperbag waist (apple shaped friendly) pant will be a great substitute for your outfit. They can be found here.
These EARRINGS!! Y’all know I love custom indie jewelry and this earring designer has been one of my favorites for years and you can find them here. Side note: Im wearing this kimono in a 3x and I really wished I would have gotten a smaller size because I feel like these beautiful belle sleeves would pop more so don’t be like me.
This outfit was super appropriate and super comfortable for the festival. I had a blast with my friends and my son at the event. We ate well and listened to so great jazz and enjoyed the warm Wendy weather. I ate so much good food and danced and laughed check out some pictures of my food and friends below.

97.7 Rock the Runway 2019

Its Fashion Friday! I had the most amazing experience at my cities annual fashion show 977 Rock the Runway 2019. The show was hosted by Rickey Smiley’s Gary with the Tea and 977’s Radio Personality Tambra Cherie. I was fashionably late but fashionable non the less.
Ok so let’s get into this look! This beautiful Tulle skirt is made by designer Oyemwen @shopOyemwen on instagram. I found the designer through @Fashionbombdaily’s Instagram page and I purchased my skirt from http://www.Fashionbombdailyshop.com. The skirts are available on both sites so you can purchase one here and Here. This lace bodysuit is from Fashion Nova and can be purchased here. The neon jacket and sports bra are old pieces of mine but I did see some similar at Rue 21. My Cape Robbin heels link is in the blog post right before this one. And this super cute hat is from www,DollsKill.com and is sold-out .
My date for the night was non other than my super fashionable sister @YourFashionFairy on instagram. She is always chic, ladylike and stunning whenever she leaves the house. Follow her on instagram for details on her look and her style.
When I decided I wanted to wear this skirt I knew I wanted to complement the bright blue color with another popping color instead of playing it down with a color like black or white and the neon Green/Yellow gave the look exactly what I wanted it have. The body suit underneath gave me extra coverage and the perfect peek-a-boo of lace.
As I was sitting there enjoying the show Gary with the Tea spotted me and wanted me to walk the Runway with him! Well I wasn’t risking my life tryin to climb on stage so instead I took his hand and strutted right there along the Runway.

I explained to Gary that Im inspired by Color and Culture and I want plus women to know if the had the confidence that they could wear whatever they want!

Of course part agreed and he turned around to make sure everyone heard exactly what I was saying. For videos of our conversation head to my instagram page. I had an amazing time networking and working the runway at the show.
